TEMPLATE For PHOTO SUBLIMATION PLATE

Collector's Plates are mainly kept as for premium items, commemoration and appreciation and not for food serving. Whole space in the middle of the plate can be printed. However to design a proper graphic for ceramic plate photo sublimation requires a little or basic knowledge of industrial design (ceramic) and print craft competent or else it will led to defects on the product. All Graphics prepared must meet the requirement of sublimation process.

Sublimation printing method is a high resolution digital image transfers and nothing like commonly used in older techniques as in water slide transfer or decal firing and other long established techniques. Ceramic sublimation print is a 'no hand' process and defect cannot be corrected. This is explained a little further on.

Product Measurement - Our collector's plate measured 8” Diameter inclusive of 2” width unprintable edge. Your personalized graphic or photos can be printed limited to only 4 ” Diameter in the middle which is on flat surface.

Print Size - One single size : 4 ”  Diameter  Circle or Ellipse. Space exceed the area is unprintable edge. If you have larger image > reduced whole things proportionately to fit in to the size as described above. However if you need to print a larger image you may shift to other materials such as our decorative tiles which provides larger print area.

Print Surface - Sublimation process is nothing like water-slide transfer or decal application and firing technique where graphics may be pasted anywhere on the ceramic surface and set for firing. Photo sublimation plate provides print area limited to only 4 ” diameter wide in the middle which is on flat surface of the plate.

With reference to all our ceramic plates, your artwork may not be just a stand alone graphic as we provide gold lining Linings or border decoration which is pre-printed - so that you don't have to come up with boarder or lining .

Graphic Image -The better you can get the picture on screen the better your print will be. If you are not satisfied with how your picture looks, skip to adjust your image using color correction profiles. With good quality image of your graphic, your plates will be delivered with 'photo-lab quality' print on its surface.

In preparing your artwork for high resolutions digital transfer, Image must be at least 200 dpi ( recommended 200 - 300 dpi ) and pasted at 100% of the template size. It is advisable to save your graphic in Tag Image Format File (TIFF) or TIF File. TIF Files are lossless format, isn't compressed and tends to be larger. JPEG Files are 'Loosy' files and some pixel information loss. GIF file is limited to 256 colors.

All logogram and graphics must be new or reconstructed or from original artwork as images with lesser pixels tapped from internet sources or scanned small images from hard copy prints may be not be good enough to reproduce in high resolution digital transfers for sublimation process.

Important Notice - All instructions written here are based on our very own in-house production method, standard procedure and facilities and we are not responsible for any defect or incompatibility if our specs and procedure being adapted and failed in application elsewhere.

Last but Not Least - All monitors display colors uniquely, therefore exact color matching will be difficult. It is common everywhere to get final colour output of the ceramic prints sometimes slightly differ to what you see on your monitor screen. However at all the time we always tried to get the best possible colour profile on the final output.
